Holidays

This is us doing exciting things on an Austrian mountain. We had a fabulous time romping in the mountains above Seefeld just as their summer season was nearing its end.

Beinn A' Ghlo

This was last Saturday's "slow Munro" for the hesitant hillwakers from OSP. For the record, we started out at about 10am and returned to the cars at 6.30pm. The day was mostly overcast and cold on top but warm where sheltered from the wind.

Well, this our first pumpkin. It went the way of all good veg - we ate it. The garden has since seen the demise of a chainsaw and a lawnmower but we battle valiantly on - even against the mysterious midnight cabbage uprooter. It may have been the same visitor that tried to dig up Freya, Frank's 15 year old Welsh Springer, but she is now under a small cairn which has so far defied the attempts of midnight digger to unearth. The chainsaw has been repaired and the lawnmower replaced, so look out grass and unruly bushes, here we come.
